Pretty and private! In this Guest bath, privacy was lacking. The walls were white, fixtures were black, and something was needed to keep the interior private.
This black/multi cotton print was used for the Swag and asymmetric Jabots, which coordinated with a small print used for the functioning flay Roman Shade.

Master Bathroom Valance!Who says valances always need to be in windows??
This valance is at the tub enclosure entrance in this Master Bath; this room is fully coordinated, right down to the cute trim on the header (ruffle) above the rod pocket.

A matching single window. Here is a smaller mate to the huge walk-in Bay treatment that is in this album. Note the tri-color trim on the edge of the swag - almost as if it was made FOR this treatment.
The chair was also made for this room, from the frame to finsh. It is referred to as a Channel Back style.

Lots of Layers..Theis treatment began as Swags and Jabots, and quickly became a more layered modification for this room. A third swag with its' matching Jabot are placed over the two, lighter colored pieces. The treatment is finished with a very full, full-lrngth panel to one side, all displayed from a board mount.
There is a mirror image of this treatment to the left of the sofa!

Awesome fabric!Look at the great fabric on this pillow! It is a raised Flocking, a very big look currently. It is welted with a contrasting fabric to connect visually with other elements in this room.

Male territory! This office was for the President/owner of a large, urban-area distributorship.
All aspects were carefully planned to represent this man as businesslike yet approachable. The pale palette of Grey/black/Ivory was welcoming yet functional, and also displayed the occupant's love of local professional sports.
Every effort was made to make the occupant & visitor comfortable, right down to the well-stocked mini-bar in the hideaway closet.

A 'nap' blanket. This small blanket covers the foot of this Queen bed, and offers a nice light cover for an afternoon nap while coordinating with the other treatments!

Place to have a bite..These shutters were not meant to completely block the view here; they were intended to maintain some privacy from activity at street level, and to keep the window uncluttered and contemporary. All of them hinge open.

A close up.Here is a closer view of the layered panel. Overall lengths were approx. 48" + 60".Apr 23, 2009

A different kind of panel..These dual layered panels are banded near the top, and have two lengths to use both fabrics effectively. Sheers are under.Apr 23, 2009

Beautiful shamsThese shams coordinate with the rest of this bedroom. There are two covers; the lighter color is 100% silk with accent stitching, the darker is combed cotton.Apr 23, 2009

Good - when they're sleeping! These two hurricanes are Fibber (the one w/ the white tummy) and Magee. When they're not sleeping they're creating havoc - in a cute way!
They're my foster kittens, who came to the shelter I vonteer at as very little ones. Thye're been living with us since August sometime, and it will be hard to let them go!

Simple & Cool. These panels were lined with a very funky layer of fabric; it had a circle design w/ 'pulled' thread fragments at their centers. The lining was then 'cuffed' to the front to show the coordination.
These were hung from plain wrought iron rods in a very 'Pottery Barn' living Room; it completed the look perfectly.

Have it both ways here...The homeowner asked that this window let the light in, yet afford privacy, insulation and darkness when wanted.
These draperies can traverse across the window if the need arises, and the off-white SheerWeave roller shade can be lowered to cut glare and keep the heat of the Sun out.
The shaped and pleated valance covers it all in a happy print!

Just a small touch..This gathered, shaped valance is pleated at center, for a little sway and fullness; the large button is covered with the same stuff that lines the pleat. It also shows that the homeowner was paying attention to the details - he requested thistouch and loved it.Sep 02, 2008
